I pitched my tent

1) I pitched my tent on higher ground,
Where I know the Lord, oh yes, would be around.

Now once my soul was hungry, and I wonder if I’m sure.
Well, I fell down on my knees,
you know the Lord did bless me good!

J’ai planté ma tente

1) J’ai planté ma tente sur les hauteurs,
Où je sais que le Seigneur sera partout.

Jadis mon âme était assoiffée,
C’est merveilleux d’être en sécurité !
Je suis tombé à genoux,
et le Seigneur m’a abondamment béni !

J’ai planté ma tente sur les hauteurs,

J’ai planté ma tente en terre sainte
Et suis en partance pour la terre promise.

2) Je ne vais pas tarder à dire «Au revoir les amis!»
Quel grand jour, quand Il m’a lavé de mes péchés !
